What a scorcher!

It’s been an exceptionally hot week, but everyone has been out in force. We have even been joined by a tiny sun-worshipper – a common lizard who lives in the undergrowth nearby and now goes by the name of Steve.

Finds are coming up thick and fast now. A typical tray, like that seen here, is just a small portion of the finds from one of the Roman ditches. More than enough to keep the finds-washers busy.

There is just 3 weeks left on site. So, if you haven’t already, why not pop by and see what we have found. We would love to share it with you.

Don't forget! 'Sightings, Drawings, Findings, Writings' at East Wear Bay with artist-in-residence, Bryan Hawkins on Saturday 16th September. Look on our website for event details.
