Lecture details
In celebration of the Council for British Archaeology Festival of Archaeology, we will be holding a site open day at East Wear Bay to enable guests to come along and see the site first hand. Learn about the amazing history of the site from our archaeological team and handle finds that have been discovered.
Our pop-up dig pit will be out for children to enjoy and you are invited to bring an important object with you to photograph and add to our digital time capsule.
There will be a quiet hour between 9am-10am for those who prefer to explore the site in their own way with less noise and fewer people about. We will have our sensory backpacks available to inspire your site explorations.
